Host a Summer Activity Group!

What hobbies do you enjoy? How might you share your hobbies and Jesus with others? This summer, we are seeking people to Host shared experiences with each other and Jesus. Think outside the box. How might God be calling you or someone you know to use your hobbies to share with other Crossroadians? Did you know you can experience Jesus through cooking, hiking, gardening, and more.

Quick Summer Activity Facts:

• Most Groups will begin the week of June 2
• Host in your home, someone else’s home, activity location, etc.
• Examples of activities that can be done with others.
  • Outdoor Activities – fishing, hiking, walking, gardening, golfing, pickle ball, basketball, photography, walking pets, DIY projects, camping, cycling/biking, kayaking, BBQing, service projects, and more!
  • Indoor Activities – cooking, reading, coffee, baking, knitting/quilting, ball room dancing, crafting, painting, gaming, card games, board games, foodies, thrifting, and more!
• Your group can meet as often as you like (weekly, twice a month, or… ).
• Groups will be encouraged to end by the week of July 28. This will give everyone a break before the Fall session that begins August 11.

Summer Activities are meant to be flexible, and we want you to feel that way too in your group. Ideally, we would like to have as many Hosts in place by May 16. This would give our team enough time to include your group in our list of Summer Activities that our church can choose from.

Growth Groups are key to building significant Christian relationships and growing closer to God. By Hosting a Growth Group, you give God’s people a weekly opportunity to meet, share, study, and do life together. The goal of Hosting a Growth Group is to create an environment to help people grow in their faith and friendships.

Quick Fall Group Facts:

• Groups begin the week of August 11
• Host in your home, someone else’s home, coffee shop, etc.
• Choose from the list of studies below.
  • Rooted
  • Financial Peace University (FPU)
  • Sermon Series*
  • Book of the Bible
  • RightNow Media studies such as…
    • The Book of Joshua by Louie Giglio
    • The Book of Ecclesiastes by Jonathan Pokluda
    • Faith Foundations by David Platt
    • Unashamed by Lecrae
    • The Book of 1 Thessalonians by Ben Stuart
    • and many more

*The Sermon Series will be on the book of Romans and will cover all 16 chapters. The Sermon Series groups will be 16-weeks in length to coincide with the weekly message and end the week of November 17. A leader guide will be provided each week to enable the groups to have a deeper discussion.

You have the choice to Host with any of these studies for your group! Please make your selection before the July 1 deadline. That is the last day to signup to Host a Growth Group this fall.
