Our Core Values
What does a follower of Jesus look like?
It’s simple really. We live like Jesus lived. At Crossroads, we sum that up in five words, our core values: Love, Belong, Grow, Serve, and Reach.
Loving God and loving others. This is the foundation for the other four.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
— Matthew 22:36-39
Forging friendships with God’s family in your local church.
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household
— Ephesians 2:19
Experiencing life-change as we apply God’s truth to our lives.
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
— Colossians 2:6-7
Using our spiritual gifts to build up the church and impact the community.
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.
— 1 Peter 4:10
Investing our lives in others near and far that many would come to know Jesus.
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
— Colossians 4:5-6
