Baptism

Once you’ve decided to follow Christ, baptism is one of the most meaningful next steps. Baptism is a public celebration of your decision to follow Christ.

November Baptism photos are available!

Our Media TAG Team captured photos during all our November services. You can view photos from each service by clicking the button. Congratulations to everyone who was baptized!

Baptisms will be back in the Spring of 2026.

Baptism is an important step in your faith journey, and we would love to walk alongside you as you take this next step in your walk with Christ. Are you ready to be baptized during these services? If yes, we would love to connect with you! Please complete the Adult or Student Baptism Form below to let us know that you’re coming.

Important – Kids must be at least 8 years old to be baptized.

Has your child expressed a desire to be baptized?

If your child expressed an interest in being baptized, then we would love to have you and your child join us at our next Kids/Student Baptism Class. During Baptism Class your child will learn about God’s plan of salvation through Jesus, what Baptism is and why Jesus commands his followers to be baptized. If you have any questions regarding the Kids/Students Baptism Class, please email Theresa Salcido, Director of Kids.

FAQ’s about Baptisms

Q – What is baptism?
A – Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision. It’s a way to show others that you’ve decided to follow Jesus. Being lowered into the water is a way to identify with the death of Jesus. Coming back out of the water symbolizes the new life that you have through Jesus.

Q – Do I need to attend a class?
A – For adults, no class is necessary. If you complete the Baptism Request Form, an individual from Crossroads will contact you before your baptism to discuss your decision and answer your questions.

Q – At what age can my child be baptized?
A – At Crossroads, we encourage baptism for anyone who has made a personal decision to follow Jesus. Because we want each person to fully understand the meaning of baptism and express their own faith in Christ, children must be at least 8 years old to be baptized.

If your child is younger than 8, we recommend participating in our Child Dedication. Child Dedication is a special moment for parents to publicly commit to raising their children in a Christ-centered home until they are ready to make their own faith decision and be baptized in the future.

You can learn more and sign up for the next Child Dedication event at crossroadsgrace.org/childdedication.

Q – Will the baptism be an immersion?
A – Yes, baptisms at Crossroads are an immersion into water. However, if there is a medical or physical issue, we offer a sprinkling station for those situations.

Q – Will I need to become a member of Crossroads?
A – No, you do not need to become a member of Crossroads before or after the baptism. However, you are encouraged to consider your next spiritual steps after being baptized.

Q – Is there an alternative method of baptism for individuals with disabilities or mobility challenges?
A – For individuals who may have mobility challenges or other disabilities that make immersion difficult, we offer a sprinkling station as an alternative method.

“… having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.”

Colossians 2:12
