Child Dedication

Congratulations on your decision to dedicate your child to the Lord!

This ceremony provides parents with an opportunity to publicly present their children to the Lord for His protection and for His purposes in their child’s life. The dedication of a child has a significant impact on the parents as well, for they are pledging to take on the task of raising the child to know Jesus.

In dedicating their child to the Lord, the parents are committing themselves to follow Jesus and to provide an environment that will nurture and encourage their child to desire to make their own commitment to follow Jesus as well. Child Dedication is really Family Dedication and shows that you as parents understand the amazing responsibility God has given you in raising your child(ren).

Here at Crossroads we do not baptize children until they are at an age of accountability and have declared their own personal relationship with Jesus as their Savior. With dedication, parents are also committing themselves to continue to regularly attend and serve in church.
