Team Kenya 2024
“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”John 7:37-38
Ejoka! (Hello in Turkana)
Crossroads is sending a team to Turkana, Kenya, this summer, May 30-June 11. The team will partner with local ministries to show Christ’s love in a tangible way by providing clean water and irrigation systems to the Turkana people and learning about and helping with various farming techniques. The team will be working in rural areas, learning the culture, experiencing local ministries, and assisting in various farming activities.
Gene and Melba Morden have served the Turkana people in the Kenyan desert since 1995. Crossroads has supported the Mordens for several years as they work in leadership development for house and village churches and also in clean water initiatives, installing wells and irrigation systems to provide sanitary water and help people gain food security. The clean water and daily food from irrigated farms provide opportunities for Christians to reach out both locally to their neighbors and cross-culturally to other tribes. Gene will be leading the team.
