Bible Reading (read these verses three times slowly)
We finished Mark 11 yesterday, so today we read about Jesus’ authority from Matthew 28.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Reflection & Questions
Yesterday we read that Jesus’ authority was being questioned. In Matthew 28, Jesus makes the level of his authority clear. He has all authority in heaven and on earth. There is no one more powerful, more authoritative than Him. And how does He use that authority? To send us out! Jesus has a purpose for His people, including you: go and tell everyone about Him. God is calling you, in your weaknesses, in your circumstances, and even in your fears, to be confident of the mission He’s given you, because He, the one with ALL authority, is with you. Tag you’re it!
- What are some steps you can take this week to reach your ONE (the person you’re reaching for Jesus)?
Pray
Pray for your ONE that they would come to know Jesus and ask God to open doors for you to be a part of reaching them.

Reflection and Questions
Yesterday we read that Jesus’ authority was being questioned. The religious leaders didn’t think that Jesus was who He said He was – the Son of God and the one who would save us from our sins! In Matthew 28, Jesus makes the level of his authority clear. He has all authority in heaven and on earth. Authority here means power, that Jesus is the one who is in charge here! There is no one more powerful than Him. And how does He use that authority? To send us out into the world to tell others about Him! Jesus has a purpose for His people, including you: go and tell everyone about Him. God is calling you, no matter who you are or what you’re afraid of, to be confident of the mission He’s given you, because He is with you. Tag you’re it!
- What are some steps you can take this week to reach your ONE (the person you’re trying to teach about Jesus)?
Prayer
Pray for your ONE that they will one day know Jesus!

Sometimes it’s tough to figure out your purpose in life, especially as a teenager who is facing adulthood in the near future. But in today’s scripture, Jesus makes his purpose for our lives very clear.
