Unashamed Reading Plan | Week 11 | Day 4
Prayer
Take a moment to be silent and still. In order to be fully present in body and mind, take a deep breath in and let it out slowly. Do this three times. Ask God to give you His wisdom today.
Bible Reading: Romans 10:14-15
Read these verses three times slowly.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Reflection & Questions
Yesterday, we read how close everyone is to Jesus. They are simply a few words away from receiving Him and being saved! They simply need to call out to him. This simple fact, though, raises a simple problem. As Paul asks, “How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” In order to call out to Jesus, people need someone to tell them about Him!
This is why our mission as a church is so important. We have committed to “lead every ONE to discover Jesus and follow Him fully.” This means all of us who call Crossroads home, are charged with praying for and sharing the love of Jesus with our ONEs. We are Christ’s ambassadors. We are those “who bring good news!” How can we stay silent, when salvation is so close? That in the blink of an eye, and the utterance of a few words, Jesus will save! We are not playing games with our mission. Salvation is at stake.
- What word or phrase sticks out to you from these verses?
- How do these verses challenge you? What do you need to do differently?
Prayer
Talk to God in response to today’s reading.
Worship Song
You might use this song today to worship Jesus today:

Reflection & Questions
Look at your feet. Do you think they are beautiful?! They are if you are using them as God wants you to use them. That might seem a little silly to think about but today’s verses literally say that: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
So what is this good news that we bring that makes our feet so beautiful? Did you know that there are people in this world who have never heard of Jesus? How are they going to know about Him if we don’t bring them the message, the good news? That’s our mission as a church: to “lead every ONE to discover Jesus and follow Him fully.” We are the good news bearers. Maybe it’s your neighbor or your teacher or your best friend. Everyone should hear about Jesus and his gift of salvation. And your beautiful feet will be what takes you to each person that needs to hear about Him!
- Can you think of someone that you can bring the good news to? Make them your ONE – the one you pray for, invite to church, and share the good news to.
Pray
If you don’t have that ONE person picked out yet, ask God to help you discover who that person is and then pray for them.
