EXIT US READING DAY 29
BIBLE READING PLAN
WEEK 6 – EXITING OUR IDOLS
DAY 4
This week in our readings, we’re looking at the theme of Exiting our Idols from Exodus 7-11.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
Reflection: People need to hear the good news about Jesus! It’s coming up to Easter weekend – a great opportunity to invite your family and friends to join you at church where they can hear the gospel. Who are you inviting?- Who will you invite to Easter services?
- Pray that God will open their eyes to the good news!
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Reading 2: Romans 10:14-1514 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Reflection: The gospel is a simple message: We were lost in our sin, far from God, but Jesus, the son of God, came, died and rose again so that we might have eternal life with Him. As simple a message as it is, contained in it is the “power of salvation” (1:16). This message must be believed, but to be believed it must be heard and to be heard it must be spoken (10:14). This might be through people sharing it with them personally, or hearing it at a church service. This Easter is a great opportunity for people to hear the gospel!- How did you first hear the message of the gospel?
- Who do you know personally who needs this message?
- Pray for them and invite them to the Easter services this weekend (online or in person). Details at crossroadsgrace.org/easter

Reflection: The message that the Bible tells us is this: First, none of us are perfect. We all do wrong things, which are called sins. Then, Jesus came to Earth, and died on a cross to take away the punishment of sins from us. Now, since Jesus took the penalty for all the wrong things we have done and will do, we get to spend eternal life with God in heaven! This is the bottom line for what we believe as Christians, and is amazing news! No matter what you have ever done or will ever do, God loved us so much that He made a way for us to be with Him in heaven! This message is so important and so amazing, don’t you think everyone should hear it? Don’t you think that your friends and family should know about this amazing gift that God gave us? Easter service is an awesome time to invite others to church, so they get to hear the good news of Jesus!- If someone asked you what Easter was about, what would you tell them?
- Who are you going to invite to Easter services this weekend?
- Pray for the people who you are going to invite right now!
Focus Verse: How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Romans 10:14
