Host a Summer Activity Group

Engage Through Shared Experiences

This summer, we’re inviting you to do something simple, but powerful. Take something you already love to do… and use it to create space for connection. This is one of the easiest ways to invite your ONE, someone who may not walk into a Bible study, but will say yes to a shared experience.

What Are Activity Groups?

Activity Groups are all about connection through everyday experiences. They’re relaxed, relational, and intentionally centered on Jesus. You’re not leading a Bible study, you’re creating a space.

Summer Activity Groups Begin the Week of June 7

Most groups will run through the week of July 26 (8-weeks).

Why It Matters

Not everyone is ready for a traditional Growth Group, but they are open to:

  • grabbing coffee
  • going on a hike
  • playing a game
  • trying something new

This is how we reach people who might otherwise stay on the outside. Last summer, groups formed around things like hiking, coffee, and even thrifting, and many included people who had never joined a group before.

How It Works

  1. Pick something you already love
  2. Invite a few people (especially your ONE)
  3. Keep it simple: activity + the Summer Activity Template to structure your meeting

What Could Your Group Look Like?

  • Coffee & Conversations
  • Pickleball or Basketball
  • Hiking or Walking
  • Cooking or BBQing
  • Gaming (board or video)
  • Thrifting
  • Cycling or Kayaking
  • Book Clubs
  • Service Projects

Or anything else you enjoy, seriously. Think outside the box.
